London’s Borough Market is a quick 5-10 min walk from the Tower Bridge and right next to the River Thames. This market attracts thousands of people per day, most of whom are tourists of the city. During the day, it’s a vibrant food market with tons of stalls offering any food you can imagine.

On my first visit to London, I wasn’t able to make it here so I made sure this time around, I went a few times. To make sure you’ve got time to hit all the best spots, I put together a list of my top 5 favorite foods at Borough Market.
- Black Pig Sandwich
This sandwich was the best thing we had at the market and maybe the best thing I have eaten in London. I had high expectations for this and it beat my expectations by far. The line wasn’t as bad as some other stalls too and this is 100% worth it! I’d wait in an hour long line for this sandwich again.

- Wild Mushroom Risotto
This dish was super interesting and different from anything I’ve ever tried. The way they make it pretty cool as it’s all made together in a giant bowl. After serving up the risotto the chefs sprinkle some cheese and herbs to top it off. Overall I thought it was really good and a pretty good size portion.

- Empanadas
I think the Empanadas flew under the radar here. Most of the dishes at Borough Market can be found all over Tik Tok but this one seemed to be a hidden gem. They have a ton of different flavors and are great if you’re not looking to eat an entire meal.

- Sausage Rolls
A lot of stalls are selling Sausage Rolls so I think it’s hard to go wrong here. We don’t find many of these in the USA so it was fun to try something new. If you can get it warm it’s much better too.

- Chocolate Strawberries
Anyone visiting Borough Market has probably already heard about the Chocolate Strawberries. These easily had the longest line in the entire place. I put them at 5 because I feel like you have to get them just to say you did it. They are good for taking pictures but they aren’t a culinary revelation.
