Where Is It?
Woodland Park is a small mountain town about 25 mins away from Garden of the Gods national park in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I often visited this place when I was working in the Colorado Springs area.

This town is a lot smaller than the typical mountain towns in the rockies. With only about one main street, many people would drive right past this place to get deeper into the rocky mountains. It even took me a few visits to realize the magic that place really has.
If you’re visiting Colorado Springs or the Garden of the Gods state park, this is a great place to stop for an hour or two for lunch.

Where To Eat
My favorite place to eat was Joanie’s Deli which is right on the main road when you drive in. Not only does this place have a wide variety of great food, but if it’s warm enough to eat outside, it offers great views of Pikes Peak.

Across the street is a park with a few picnic benches that allow people to enjoy the view too.
What Else?
There are a few local shops and other restaurants in the town that you can stop by. There is not a lot going on in this quiet place which is what makes it so different from typical Colorado Mountain Towns.

This is a great town to stop in and relax for a while during a journey to your final destination.
